For a socially and ecologically sustainable development, we rely on renewable resources, recyclable and degradable materials and environmentally friendly packaging. Sustainable fashion - for humans and nature.
All the cotton we use comes from controlled organic cultivation. This means that neither genetically manipulated seeds, nor chemical pesticides and fertilisers are used. The natural fertility of the soil is maintained by the alternating cultivation of different plant species (crop rotation) and agricultural water consumption is minimised by up to 91% compared to conventional cotton.
Some of our products use TENCEL™ Modal fibres from the Austrian company Lenzing AG. These are obtained from the natural raw material wood, which comes exclusively from sustainable forestry. The production of TENCEL™ Modal is particularly environmentally friendly, carbon neutrally and takes place in a closed cycle, which means that almost all the solvents used can be recycled and reused in the production process.
Our shipping cartons are made from grass from local meadows and from waste paper, no fresh wood fibres are used. The processing is regional, which creates short transport routes. The production of grass paper boxes requires much less water and energy than traditional paper production, which also leads to lower CO2 emissions. Our cartons are printed with environmentally friendly, water-based inks and sealed with a plug-in system for better reusability. For shipping, the closure is secured with casein-free paper tape.
We pack our products in bags based on corn starch. The suppliers of our compostable raw material are TÜV certified and the bags are produced according to strict standards. They do not contain any PE plastics and are fully biodegradable.
Also, this is the packaging we use when shipping the garments from our production facilities, meaning we do not need to repack the items before we ship them to our customers. This saves valuable resources and prevents unnecessary waste.
